Throughout the life of the project, there will be a partition on the 2nd floor Mezzanine, along the existing glass railing, overlooking the EPNEC Lobby. The EPNEC team does not anticipate this project to conflict with 2nd floor or 3rd floor spaces.


Phase 1 – Escalator Removal
Expected Start: September 3, 2024
Expected Completion: November 12, 2024

This phase will include a ceiling-height partition surrounding the existing elevator footprint. After September 3, 2024, the escalators will no longer be available for event use.


Phase 2 – Mezzanine Expansion and Partial Lobby Remodel
Expected Start: November 13, 2024
Expected Completion: January 6, 2025

This phase will include a ceiling-height partition, similar to Phase I. Work during this time will include the construction of the 2nd floor Mezzanine expansion, Lobby terrazzo installation, and the relocation of the south-end Auditorium entrance.

The south-end Auditorium entrance will not be accessible during this timeframe.

Please note: the building will be closed November 23 – December 1, 2024 and December 14, 2024 – January 5, 2025.


Phase 3 – Continued Lobby/Mezzanine Work
Expected Start: January 7, 2025
Expected Completion: March 12, 2025

This phase will include a small partition in the Lobby, as well as the existing partition on the 2nd floor Mezzanine.
